ROSELLI ARCHITETTI is an architecture studio founded in 1997 and involved in activities that can vary from the design planning and construction of buildings to the industrial design sector. The studio’s constant subject of study is a high-end design quality in all scales lead by the study of the close relationship between materials and new technologies and the mediation between craftsmanship and industrial production.

The skills of ROSELLI ARCHITETTI include the design and construction planning of buildings and furnishings up to tender documentation including calculations and terms, administrative practice drafting support through the Kit Design Consortium of which the studio is sole manager ensuring the provision of all the technical engineering and MEP Engineering.

2012 - JEC International Award 1st prize for the use of compounds in architecture regarding the project of the Sheraton Hotel Malpensa in Milan.

2009 – Premio Medaglia d’Oro per l’architettura Special Mention at the Triennale di Milano 2009 for the project ES Hotel in Rome

2008 - National “ANCE-InArch” prize for the project of the Pontificia Università Lateranenese Library in Rom

2006 - Holcim Award for sustainable architecture 1st prize for the Project Valle dei Mullini Amalfi

PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY

The studio has a wide experience in the hospitality sector including interior space, outdoor spaces and the linking public spaces. The airport sector has been a subject of work since 2010 collaborating first with ADR Engineering and afterwards with SPEA Engineering. The studio won the “ANCE-InArch” national prize in the Best New Building category and a special mention for the “Premio Medaglia d’Oro per l’Architettura” during the 2009 Triennale di Milano for the library extension and the refurbishment of the auditorium of the “Pontifica Università Lateranense” in Rome that were completed in October 2006.

On the other hand do to the specialization in architectural planning of hotels and resorts, the studio won in 2019 the contest for the construction of the new Club Med and TH Resorts at the Lido di Venezia. This same year the studio won also the Best Hotel & Tourism Resort MIPIM Award 2019 for the Club Med in Cefalù that was completed in 2018. Regarding the projects abroad the studio completed the landscape and architectural planning of a new resort on the Langkawi island in Malaysia and the schematic design and supervision of the design development on behalf of the Quatar Foundation of the construction documentation done by P&T Architects & Engineers, after wining the contest for the design of the Hotel at Education City Doha together with Ove Arup & Partners. Student residence halls and university campus are designs and build by the studio and Fondazione Falciola and Fondazione CEUR since 2014. Camplus Pietralata that hosts 200 student accommodation rooms, tutor rooms, cafeteria and public gathering places was completed in 2016. Student residence halls in Rome and Madrid are currently been build and will provide accommodation from 150 to 200 students including guestroom areas, libraries, tutor rooms and common spaces.

The furniture design sector is approached by the studio in interior design projects of a wide range that vary from private homes to cinema foyer (Warner Village). Some Italian Design Companies have selected some of these products for industrial production. The studio developed a design philosophy for workspaces focused on new work methods such as smart working, work stations, flexible meeting areas and other new concepts, leading since 2015 to a collaboration with XOFFICE S.r.l. as a consultant for the office furnishings projects of Atlantia (Via Nibby), Luiss (Villa Blanc) and Alitalia (Palazzina Bravo).

RICCARDO ROSELLI (majority shareholder) was born in Rome on January 15, 1963 and studied architecture at the “Università “La Sapienza” di Roma” (1984-1990). After graduating he worked for Manfredi Nicoletti and Massimiliano Fuksas before deciding in 1991 to become a freelance architect and in 1997 to open his own studio in association with Jeremy King. Riccardo Roselli is registered at the “Ordine degli Architetti di Roma” under the number 9495.

KATIA SCARIONI (minority shareholder) was born in Magenta (MI) on 29/12/71. She studied in Milan and at the ENSCI in Paris and graduated at the Milan Polytechnic (1991-1997). She works for Pierre Colboc in Paris, for Franco Raggi in Milan, for Piero Sartogo and, since 2003, for King Roselli studio in Rome, associating with Riccardo Roselli in 2021. Enrolled in the Order of Architects of Rome at number 16942 A.
